Poetry; Someone Is Hungry

At my tender age,
empty stomach has been the watchword,
nothing to feed on let alone chew.
Within me are sorrows and bitterness of hunger.

My destiny is sold for food,
My birthright is out for bread,
How wealthy I am in poverty!
How loud I cry in my silence!

Who will fight my stomach pain battle?
Dwelling in pains of emptiness,
When will my life expire?
Oh Living dead of hunger! Silently I cry...
